QT500-7 ductile iron poured at the foundry, cooled on the bed, then fettled and shot-blasted before the EN124 C250 load mark is stamped into the frame - that is the making of every drainage grate on this line.

Civil drawings drive the pattern. A silage-pit platform is not a stock rectangle: the clear opening and the frame depth come off the contractor's drawing, and the pattern shop machines the match plate before the first ladle is poured. Under a vehicle wheel the iron flexes instead of shattering; that is what a C250 load class means in practice.

Fifty pieces is the smallest run that leaves the casting floor for export. Pricing lands in the US $30 to $70 band per grate depending on opening size.

Key Features

Bar spacing is a compromise - runoff has to clear, but a boot heel or a caster wheel must not catch. The same pattern serves municipal inlets, road gutters and yard channels, so one grate size can cover three very different sites.

ISO certification runs through casting and coating: every batch carries its heat number, and a sample from each pour is broken in the lab before the rest of the batch is cleared for packing. The grates are bundled on pallets, edge-protected, and loaded so the freight leg does not chip the casting skin.
