Product Overview

Between two flanges is all the space this valve asks for. The cast body is fettled, the seat pocket is machined, and each unit takes a shell test and a seat-leak test on the bench before the coating booth - a nuclear water service loop does not accept a wet seal.

Single-eccentric closure keeps the disc off the seat for most of the stroke; soft seat or metal seat is chosen by media and temperature. The rating plate reads Pn10 and Pn16, working range -30 to 400 C.

Five pieces is the entry order, and the bench-testing queue turns quickly enough that small batches do not wait behind big skid packages. FOB quotes run US $11 up to $880 per valve once size and seat are fixed.

Wafer pattern means no separate body length - the valve drops between existing flanges and the stud bolts pass through the body ears, which is why it fits a retrofit between pipe runs that were never meant to be opened wide.

After passing the bench tests, the body gets its coat, the nameplate is riveted on, and the unit goes into a corrugated box. Nuclear contractors usually ask for the test report folded in with the packing list; that habit carries over to every water-industry order on this line.
