Product Overview

Pipe fabricators machine these concentric reducers to step a butt-welded process line down between two sizes on the same centreline. The shop forges the blank, turns the concentric taper on a lathe, and bevels both ends to ASME for direct weld fit-up.

Coverage runs DN15 to DN600 in Sch40, Sch80 or Sch160 wall, in forged carbon steel to A105, Q235 or 20#, at Pn10, Pn16 or Pn25. A single piece books as the entry, and FOB is quoted against the size and wall on enquiry.

Key Features

Concentric reduction keeps the centreline straight, which matters on a pump suction where an eccentric offset would trap air. After machining, each reducer is heat-coded on the heel and capped for the sea freight leg.

Forged carbon steel takes the weld heat without lamination, and the bevelled ends drop straight into a fabrication crew's fit-up. A fab shop can pull a whole reducer range from one lot, schedules matched to the spool drawing, and the concentric bore keeps a pump suction from drawing air at low flow; each unit ships bevelled and capped.
