Stainless Steel Water Pipe for Deep-Sea Drilling Riser

Product Overview

Deep-sea drilling riser support is a harsh neighbourhood - salt spray, vibration, and no second chance once the pipe string goes offshore. The seamless stainless tube is drawn to OD 6-630 mm with walls of 1-50 mm, cut to a 6 m length, and ultrasonically checked along its full body before it leaves the mill.

ASTM A312, ASTM A213 and GB/T 14976 cover the chemistry. Offshore packages also get the mill test certificate copied into the shipment file, because rig inspectors ask for it at the laydown yard.

One piece is enough to start. FOB lands at US $1,000 to $2,500 per length, and the warehouse side handles sample orders without putting them in the production queue.

Key Features

Chemical and pharmaceutical process lines take the same grade, which means the seamless tube already has to hold cleanliness standards - offshore duty is not a stretch for it.

After the UT pass, each length is pickled, capped at both ends, and then strapped. Caps stay on until the welder is ready; that small step keeps sand and sea air out of the bore during stevedoring. Oil/gas, chemical and pharma runs are the usual destinations beyond the riser package.
