Malleable Iron Threaded Square Head Pipe Plug

Product Overview

A square-head male plug blanks a threaded outlet on a water or air run - wrench on the square, turn home, done. Malleable iron body, DN15 through DN50, thread cut to BSPT or NPT, finished galvanized, plain black or banded depending on where the port lives. The castings are shake-out cleaned, shot-blasted and threaded on a CNC die head before packing, so the square seating face stays flat against the joint.

Where a port has to be sealed for commissioning - a test blind, a future take-off, a dead-end branch - this is the part that closes it with standard tools. A minimum consignment runs a thousand pieces, priced ex-works between US $0.8 and $1 per plug under the YH mark.

Key Features

The square drive takes a standard open-end wrench, no special socket, which is why maintenance crews keep a handful in the spares box. Galvanized, black and banded finishes cover indoor air, outdoor water and buried utility duty respectively. Threads are gauge-checked after cutting, and the plug is bagged and labelled to the thread size before the carton is sealed.
