Galvanized Malleable Iron Male Female Threaded Nipple

Product Overview

The packing bench counts nipples by the thousand. One short male-female piece bridges a female port to a male connection - a fitter does not reach for a separate adapter on a water or oil line when the gap is that small.

Malleable iron is the body; after the hex is turned and the threads cut, the whole piece goes through hot-dip galvanizing, then thread-gauging before it reaches the bag. Sizes run DN15 to DN50, CCC certified under the YH mark. The hex middle lets a wrench hold the nipple while the second end is screwed home.

A thousand pieces is the minimum booking; FOB runs US $0.8 to $1 per nipple.

Key Features

Male on one side, female on the other - one piece instead of a coupling plus a short connector. Between two mismatched ports on a water or oil run it closes the gap, where a plain coupling would point the wrong way.

The hex middle is sized for a standard open-end wrench, so no special tool comes out in the field. Each carton is gauged to DN before the stitcher closes the bag.
