316L Stainless Steel Industrial Plug

This 316L stainless steel industrial pipe cap is machined from original seamless 316L stainless steel tube. Many low-cost alternatives on the market are made by stamping thin sheets, and there is a big quality gap between the two.
Stamped caps have thin, uneven wall thickness and tend to deform and leak under high pressure. Our pipe caps are integrally machined from seamless tube with higher structural strength. The wall thickness can be controlled precisely. There are no risks such as sheet splicing or local thinning caused by stretching. No hidden internal cracks, delivering stable long-term pressure resistance.

Material-wise, 316L is low-carbon molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel. Molybdenum greatly improves resistance to chloride corrosion, while the low-carbon formula effectively prevents intergranular corrosion after welding.
Compared with 304 stainless steel, it shows outstanding performance in media containing chloride ions. In coastal saline environments, seawater, chemical acid & alkali media and high-humidity sewage conditions, 304 is prone to pitting corrosion, rust penetration and cracking, while 316L can operate stably for a long time. It extends the service life of pipelines and cuts maintenance & replacement costs in the later stage.

We offer customized wall thickness to fully match your pipeline design pressure and outer diameter. The inner and outer surfaces are polished for good finish. It creates better weld bead during butt welding with pipes and ensures reliable sealing.
We can supply EN10204-3.1 material test certificate upon delivery. Each batch comes with complete mill heat number, with full material traceability to meet project inspection and supervisor acceptance requirements.
